Thirty-Two Papers Submitted for This Year’s Competition!
The 2025 Mary Moers Wenig Student Writing Competition closed on June 1. This year, the competition received a record number of entries, with 32 papers submitted from 20 different law schools across the country—nearly triple last year’s total entries!
The competition has now moved into the judging phase, where papers will be reviewed anonymously by a panel of judges appointed by the Legal Education Committee. The judges will include Academic Fellows of ACTEC, other ACTEC Fellows, and a member of the editorial board of the ACTEC Law Journal.
ACTEC Foundation President John T. Rogers, Jr. shares: “We are thrilled to have received so many thoughtful papers this year from such a wide array of esteemed law schools. The diversity and quality of submissions make for a vibrant and healthy competition. Thank you to all of our Fellows who helped us spread the word.”
This year’s winners will be announced on July 15 on actecfoundation.org.
